High-altitude aerodynamics, adverse weather, stall prevention and upset recovery, transport-category systems, turbine operations, and airline-oriented procedures. Virtual ground school available.

Full-Motion Simulator — 10 Hours
Structured simulator sessions replicating real operational scenarios in an airline-style environment, bracketed by professional briefings and debriefings.

Graduation Certificate
Finish the program and you're eligible to take the FAA ATP multi-engine knowledge test — the exam standing between you and your Airline Transport Pilot certificate.
About the Program
South Florida finally has a boutique ATP CTP option. The Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program is required by the FAA before you can take the ATP multi-engine knowledge test — and AVS now runs the complete FAA-compliant program in Miami, at Opa-Locka Executive Airport (14850 NW 44th Court, Suite 206), minutes from downtown and MIA.
The Miami program runs as an intensive 6–7 day course: 30 hours of ground instruction covering high-altitude aerodynamics, adverse weather, stall prevention and upset recovery, transport-category systems, turbine operations, and airline-oriented procedures — followed by 10 hours of structured full-motion Boeing 737 simulator training that replicates real operational scenarios in an airline-style environment. Virtual ground school options are available.
Miami classes draw regional-airline applicants finishing the written before indoc, international pilots from Latin America and the Caribbean converting to an FAA ATP, military aviators transitioning to the airlines, and Florida flight instructors crossing 1,500 hours. Who needs an ATP CTP course?
Any pilot pursuing an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with multi-engine privileges — the path to flying for a Part 121 airline. The FAA requires an approved ATP CTP program before you're eligible to take the ATP multi-engine knowledge test.
How long does the program take?
Six to seven days, depending on the class schedule: 30 hours of ground school plus 10 hours of simulator training. Virtual ground school options can trim your time on site in Miami.
